The ‘Old Man’s’ longer insert has been engineered for a deeper, more resonant tone that brings big Canada geese in close.

Call Materials

ACRYLIC – Premium Call

Legendary Gear uses 100% solid cast acrylic for optimal sound quality and machining results.  Our acrylic has a higher density than other acrylic options resulting in more vibrant color options and producing more consistent calls sounds for superior performance.  Each call in personally hand-tuned by George Lynch.

WOOD – Premium Call

A true work of art and a labor of love.  Legendary Gear wood calls are CNC machined, sanded, dipped in sand seal, dried for days, sanded again, dipped in clear coat – often they are dipped and sanded up to 4 times with sanding between each coat.  Once perfect, they are laser engraved, color filled and personally hand-tuned by George Lynch.

    I used flutes for the past 3 years. This year I wanted to learn a short reed so I bought one. I struggled so I bought 5 more. Continued to struggle and returned all 6 of them thinking all hope was lost. I called up George on the phone and he recommended the delrin Old Man. I watched his YouTube videos and after a month it all finally clicked. Now I’m feeling confident and building on the basics. I’m impressed with the quality, fit, finish and tune. Costumer service and shipping were good as well. Only thing I regret is not buying the acrylic because I’m pretty sure this will be on my lanyard for a long time! It’s an excellent call for a beginner and George clearly stands behind his product. Now it’s time to kill some geese!!!
